Paid $999 and Samsung Blu-Ray for $150 at BB. Best cost I could find & I researched A LOT.PRO's one) HD picture (in dark situations with HD content, see CON's) is SOOO nice I cannot think Samsung 3D HDTV sometimes. It is dimensional (& I am not using Samsung 3D HDTV in the 3D feature since I don't care about that. When shopping I discovered I am sensitive to black levels & this TV is tremendous sharp & contrast is incredible. , sometimes you are distracted by how nice the picture is! two) At the store they made Samsung 3D HDTV appear like I was one time going to be unhappy with the sound but I have been perfectly satisfied by the sound. three) Plenty of connections - including a DVI which I use to hook my computer up to the TV & then I can watch Hulu or pics on the giant screen. CON's one) Screen is like a mirror in the work of the day in my bright room. Granted, I was one time warned about this but I thought I'd get used to Samsung 3D HDTV since our elderly CRT TV had a glass screen, but it annoys me to see myself sitting on the couch in the work of a show that happens to have some darkness on the screen - think night scenes or dramas. Doesn't bother somebody except me. In case you could diminish the brightness in the room with curtains it would not be a controversy.
